About Abertridwr Community Church

The Church started in Abertridwr in 1922. At that time it was known as the Apostolic Church and was situated at the lower end of Francis Street, Abertridwr. Some of the current members are children and grand children of those original families.

During the last 80 plus years we have seen many, many people from all over Wales, England and in fact the world join with us.

In the mid 1980’s the church became an independent Evangelical fellowship and the Abertridwr Community Church was born.

The Church was invited by friends at Beulah Baptist Church to share their building at Thomas Street. After Extensive restoration  the Church moved into a comfortable building in 1992.

The Church has always had a strong link with the village and many residents would have been part of our Sunday School, Youth Club or Coffee Bar. The Church now runs the Oasis Christian Centre on the Square at Abertridwr and many visit the busy Coffee Shop.

The vibrant Church looks forward to the next 80 years with the same excitement and expectation as the first.
